Writer's Digest has a poetry challenge.  Ten lines of ten syllables are the only rules.  If you wish to enter go to the link below and read the instructions. Scroll down to the bottom of the post and on the right side there is a link that says comments (and a number for how many comments are there so far.  Click that link to go to the comments section. Type or copy and paste your poem in the comment box, add your name, email address and web address of your website if you have one in the provided box. Click the button that says save comment and you are entered.

The Northeast Texas Writer's Organization (NETWO) is hosting it's 25th
Spring Writer's Round Up. April 29th and 30th to be held at the Camp Shiloh Retreat
on Lake Bob Sandlin.   Agents include Kathleen Ortiz, Lowenstein Associates;
Katie Shea, Caren Johnson Literary Management, and Avalon's Acquisition Editor, Lia Brown.

Fiction acquisition editor Lisa Smith and non-fiction Publisher Linda Houle will represent L&L Dreamspell.

Authors include Jo Davis, Amanda Tackett, and Spike Gillespie with David Haynes, Director of the S.M.U. Creative Writing program part of the faculty.

Co-authors Ron and Caryl McAdoo announced an organizational meeting to found the Red River Writers' Workshop, a read and critique group open to any one who aspires to write for publication.
The desire to begin the workshop came to the McAdoos after speaking with a few interested area authors - including Marion Butts, Clarksville middle school teacher who's penned nine published historical non-fiction titles, and Daniel Meyer, author of several fiction titles in his Life Is A Road motorcycle series (www.lifeisaroad.com) and new owner of the old Blackmon Pharmacy building on the Clarksville Square. The first meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Walnut Street Buffet, 227 Walnut Street in Clarksville.
